that apply to the certification of hard green condition of bananas for fruit fly under an Interstate Certification Assurance (ICA) arrangement.

Scope

This procedure covers all certification of hard green condition of bananas from businesses operating under an Interstate Certification Assurance arrangement in Queensland. Hard green condition is approved for Cavendish type bananas only.

Not all ICA Operational Procedures are Accepted by all states and territories of Australia.

Some interstate markets may require additional quarantine certification as a condition of entry. It is the responsibility of the business entering into an ICA arrangement to ensure compliance with all applicable quarantine requirements.

Scope

This procedure covers all certification of mature green condition of bananas from Businesses operating under an ICA arrangement in Queensland.

This procedure excludes any Business operating within a Suspension Area of a Papaya Fruit Fly Pest Quarantine Area.

This procedure covers Queensland fruit fly only.

Mature green condition certification under this procedure is approved for all commercial varieties and types of banana.

Not all ICA Operational Procedures are Accepted by all states and territories of Australia.

that apply to the certification of banana fruit under an Interstate Certification Assurance (ICA) arrangement for freedom of soil and other plant material for Panama disease tropical race 4.

Scope

This procedure covers all certification of banana fruit for freedom of soil and other plant material from businesses operating under an Interstate Certification Assurance (ICA) arrangement in Queensland.

Freedom of soil and plant material for banana fruit may not be an accepted quarantine entry condition for Panama disease tropical race 4 for all intrastate or interstate markets.

Some intrastate or interstate markets may require additional quarantine certification for pests and diseases other than Panama disease tropical race 4 as a condition of entry.

It is the responsibility of the business consigning the produce to ensure compliance with all applicable quarantine requirements.
Information on intrastate and interstate quarantine requirements can be obtained from the Certification Assurance Supervisor for your district.
