Scope

This procedure covers all certification of methyl bromide fumigation by a Business operating under an ICA arrangement in New South Wales.

Location: Businesses operating in areas of NSW where the requirements specified are a condition of entry of an interstate quarantine authority.

This procedure does not abrogate or override the responsibility of licensed fumigators to comply with the legislative requirements as prescribed in the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation 2001.

Certification under this procedure may not fulfil all quarantine entry conditions for all produce to interstate markets. It is the responsibility of the consigning business to ensure compliance with all applicable quarantine requirements.

Not all ICA Operational Procedures are Accepted by all states and territories of Australia.

Some interstate markets may require additional quarantine certification as a condition of entry. It is the responsibility of the business entering into an ICA arrangement to ensure compliance with all applicable quarantine requirements.

This procedure covers the requirements for fruit fly and other plant pests where the requirements in Section 6. Requirement are a specified condition of entry of an interstate quarantine authority.

This procedure does not abrogate or override the responsibility of licensed fumigators to comply with the legislative requirements as prescribed in the Health (Drugs and Poisons) Regulation 1996 and Work Place Health and Safety Act 1995.

Not all ICA Operational Procedures are Accepted by all states and territories of Australia.

Some interstate markets may require additional quarantine certification as a condition of entry. It is the responsibility of the business entering into an ICA arrangement to ensure compliance with all applicable quarantine requirements.

  • Businesses operating within a Fruit Fly Quarantine Area; or
  • Businesses operating outside a Fruit Fly Quarantine Area where the requirements specified in Section 6 Requirements are a specified condition of entry of and interstate quarantine authority; or
  • All other quarantine pests of economic importance.

This procedure does not abrogate or override the responsibility of licensed fumigators to comply with the legislative requirements as prescribed in the Controlled Substances Act 1984 and The Occupational Health Safety and Welfare Act.
